Temperatures are dropping all over, but that doesn’t mean your style game has to.
Personally, I’m not a big fan of cold weather. It takes more more time and effort to get dressed in the morning- mostly on account of having to wear double the clothes to ward off the chill.
If you’re like me, you don’t like to spend oodles of time getting ready. Get up. Get cute. Get out.
Let me share with you some quick and easy pieces you can throw on with your winter outfit to stay cute in the cold.
If you missed last week’s blog about trending boots- check it out here.
Buy a cute pair of versatile boots. Versatile is the key word. Boots that are TOO trendy are going to fail you as far as being quick and easy. Howerver, if your personal style leans towards being trendy- you do you, Boo-boo. My tip would be to make those trendy boots a neutral color that you’ll be able to dress up a number of outfits.
Vests are one of my favorite accessories right now. Especially denim vests. However, denim vests don’t scream winter wear though. So what is the “denim vest” of this season? The FUR VEST. I am currently in love with these. To the average market, this look may seem a little risky, but don’t be sacred. Embrace it! Throwing on a cute fur vest will instantly dress up nearly any outfit.
I also personally love fur in the winter because it reminds me of my favorite Christmas movie- Hazel’s Christmas! “It’s mink!”
Before we move on, let me clarify something for you. Consolidation is normally a good thing. And you might think that you can add even more swag to your #ootd by combining these two ideas.
You have never been more wrong.
Fur boots are only good if you are going for #chewbaccaswag.
I do understand the confusion. The 2007 song Apple Bottom Jeans may have tripped you up. The song does say “boots with the fur,” but let’s break that down. Boots with fur. Not animals on your feet.
Try and add these quick and easy pieces to your cold weather look…
Not only are these functional, but they are fashionable. They are also pretty easy to find or make too! Try a flower or, my personal favorite, a bow for that final touch. Adding a cute bow ear warmer to a sweater and jeans outfit will instantly kick it up a notch.
What are your favorite clothes that you can bring out for when it’s cold outside?
